Why support us?
The NHS was established in 1948. Today, in the 21st century, much has changed since its inception. We’ve grown as a population in both age and size – life expectancy has increased, and infant mortality rates have dramatically declined.
Every year our hospitals and community services touch the lives of millions of people. Our staff work incredibly hard to provide the best care to patients during their hour of need. However, with tight budgets, and our services becoming busier each year, there is little expenditure for the extras which enhance patient experience and boost staff morale.
What does this mean for us?
As a charity we can raise and dedicate funds to specific departments or wards, or use your generously donated funds to help out the organisation as a whole. With your help, we can improve the experience our patients have when being cared for by us. Whether you would like to jump out of an aeroplane, run a marathon, hold a sponsored silence or host an afternoon tea party, every penny matters when it comes to improving our patients’ experience.
At Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust caring for our patients is our number one priority. We want to increase the level of care we can provide, and help make their stay as comfortable as possible. You can help us and your community achieve this vision by supporting Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity.
Very impressed with the care, good humour and professionalism – removing a lot of potential stress from the experience. Thank you!Patient feedback for Endoscopy Unit, St Helier – February 2020
