Evie’s Santa Run spreads Christmas kindness at Epsom Hospital
Six-year-old Evie recently took on a festive Santa Run to say thank you to Epsom Hospital, raising an amazing £145 to support Casey Ward, where her younger brother Max has spent time in hospital.
Max has had a few stays on Casey Ward, and Evie wanted to give something back after seeing how much the toys in the playroom helped cheer him up during difficult days.
“I chose to raise money for charity because I wanted to help people and I chose Epsom Hospital because they have looked after us, so I wanted to be able to get them more toys,” she said.
Despite the challenge and the cold temperatures, Evie loved the experience.
“It was quite challenging to run all the way as it was tiring but I loved it.”
Evie’s family said they were incredibly proud of her kindness.
“We’re so proud of Evie for wanting to help others, especially at Christmas, and we hope to make it a family tradition. It was a great day out for a great cause and most importantly a perfect way to say thank you to Casey Ward.”
Evie is still raising the final few pounds and hopes, with your support to raise even more to help provide toys for children spending time in hospital. You can donate at https://www.justgiving.com/page/evie-craft-2025
