Thanks to kind donors and fundraisers, we can fund extra equipment and facilities that the NHS can’t always provide.
These range from life-saving technologies to the special touches that really do help patients feel better and give their loved ones much-needed peace of mind. Be it a cosy quiet room, additional IVF equipment, a state of the art robotic surgeon, a refurbished ward or intensive care equipment for newborns, every penny helps.

There are three key areas where donated funds can have an impact. They are:
Technology and equipment
The equipment and technology we rely on can save lives. Our CT scanners spot cancers, our neonatal baby monitors tell us if some- thing’s wrong with our youngest of patients, and the ventilators in critical care keep our patients breathing.
Of course, none of the vital equipment we rely on is cheap – we spend millions of pounds every year in upgrading and replacing our equipment, and we would be grateful for any contribution you would like to make!
Staff welfare
Many of our supporters have a strong wish to thank the hospital staff who have made a difference to them and their families.
Through their donations we are able to make hospital areas more comfortable for staff, providing rest areas, drinks facilities and other simple enhancements. This helps us to look after the staff so they can look after you.
A welcoming environment
Calm and spacious surroundings can reduce stress during an anxious visit to hospital and can also aid recovery. But with pressures on the NHS, these kind of improvements can be difficult to fund.
Your generous donations could be used for a variety of great causes, from buying toys and educational games for patients in our children’s wards, to puzzle games and books, or the installation of a TV in a waiting room. We also greatly appreciate funds for new art on the walls, fans to keep staff and patients cool in hot weather, and much more!
