Riding for a cause that is close to his ‘much healthier’ heart

Last August, Simon’s life changed in an instant when he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to St George’s Hospital in Tooting. After receiving a life-saving stent, his recovery continued with the Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Epsom. A team that Simon credits with helping him rebuild not just his physical health, but his confidence and outlook on life.

“The care I’ve received has been second to none. They didn’t just help me recover physically- they helped me rethink my lifestyle. With their expertise, patience and just the right amount of tough love, they showed me how to get my life back on track.”

Now, Simon is taking on the London to Brighton Cycle this September to raise funds for Epsom Cardiac Rehab, supporting the team that helped him through one of the most frightening moments of his life.

“I’m raising money to help them keep doing what they do best. Supporting people at a point when everything feels uncertain and helping them come out stronger on the other side.”

Simon is embarking on this journey to Brighton with his Sister in Law Ali, and you can support both of them by making a donation at www.justgiving.com/page/simon-wadham-2

Simon decided to do this because “It felt like the right way to give back and say thank you from the bottom of my much healthier heart, all thanks to Epsom Cardiac Rehab and their amazing staff.”
